Conflict beetween media and lawyers: CM holds discussions with Chief Justice

Representative pic.Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan held discussions with the Chief Justice of Kerala High Court on Tuesday about the conflict between the media and lawyers in the State.

The Chief Minister told the media after the meeting with the Chief Justice at the latter’s residence here that the issue would be resolved. The Chief Justice was positive about resolving the issue and the Registrar of High Court would soon issue a circular in this regard.

KSEB services to be offline for three days

Government cancels appointment Minister’s relative as MD of KSIE

Thiruvananthapuram: The government has cancelled the appointment of P. K. Sudheer, son of CPI (M) Member of Parliament P. K. Sreemathi, as Managing Director of Kerala State Industrial Enterprises (KSIE), after the appointment sparked a controversy.

Sudheer is also the nephew of Industries Minister E. P. Jayarajan.  KSIE is under Industries Department.

Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan said that he did not know of the appointment while BJP leader V. Muraleedharan alleged that it was a party decision and not just that of Mr. Jayarajan.
