CPI State secretary Kanam Rajendran said here on Sunday that there might be an agenda behind the Kerala Catholic Bishops Council demanding prohibition instead of abstention.

Inaugurating the valedictory function, which began with inspection of a parade by Mr. Vijayan, CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechuri said that the LDF would come to power in the State. Only the left could be an alternative to communalism.

Thiruvananthapuram: The BJP is likely to finalise its first list of candidates for the Assembly by the end of this month.
The decisions in this respect will be taken after RSS meeting later this week. The core committee of the party, which met in Ankamali on Sunday, discussed strategies and decided to set up a committee for selection of candidates.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Vimochana yatra led by BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan and Kerala yatra led by Muslim League leader P. K. Kunhalikutty concluded here on Thursday.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who inaugurated the valedictory function of Vimochana yatra here, said that the people of Kerala were fed up with the available alternatives and looking for the 'Third Alternative'. They had been under UDF and LDF rule for long without witnessing any change.
