Thiruvananthapuram: The increase in wages of plantations workers, negotiated at the earlier meeting of the Plantation Labour Committee, will be implemented from this month.
The decision was made at a meeting of the Committee this evening where the government took the stand that any move by the owners of the plantation to renege on earlier decision will not be countenanced.

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State president V. Muraleedharan said on Monday that his party was prepared for alliance with Kerala Congress (M) for forming panchayat and municipal councils. There will not be any truck with Congress, Muslim League or CPI (M).
