A three-day meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party to plan its electoral strategy for the coming Assembly elections and Parliamentary election in 2019 began here on Friday.
Party president Amit Shah is chairing meetings of office bearers at the national level, Parliamentary Board members, national general secretaries and presidents of feeder organisations on Friday as prelude to the national council meeting to the attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.

The Central government will give assistance for a housing scheme for migrant workers in Kerala.
It will also provide assistance for the project drawn up by the State government for providing health insurance and smart card to migrant workers.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Assembly Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan has approved the request of Kerala Congress (Mani) to sit as a separate block in the Assembly.
Parliamentary party secretary of KC (M) Mon Joseph and Chief Whip Roshi Augustine had met the Speaker on Tuesday and handed over letter seeking to be recognised as a separate block in the House as the party had left United Democratic Front.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Cabinet on Tuesday approved plans for housing for all, harita Keralam mission and revitalisation of educational sector.
Plans have also been approved for turning government hospitals into patient-friendly institutions. These programmes have the objective of reaching out to the marginalised sections.

Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala has sought suggestions from the public on issues to be raised during the Assembly session beginning on September 26.
In a facebook post, the Opposition Leader said that members of the public could suggest issues ranging from State level to local issues. “We will try to raise them in the Assembly.”
