Vice Chairman of Kerala Higher Education Council T. P. Sreenivasan was manhandled by one of the SFI activists protesting against Global Education Meet at Kovalam on Friday.

Mr. Sreenivasan sustained minor injuries and he resting at a house of a friend near Kovalam.

Thiruvananthapuram: Oommen Chandy government in Kerala landed in another crisis with Vigilance Court, Thrissur, ordering registration of FIR against Chief Minister Mr. Chandy and Electricity Minister Aryadan Muhammed on Thursday.

KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran said here on Thursday the Opposition was behind the allegations against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy relating to solar scam.

The Congress was extending full support to the Chief Minister in the matter.

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chany is yet to forward resignation of Excise Minister K. Babu to the Governor for acceptance.

The Chief Minister is reportedly visiting for the High Court decision on the appeal preferred by K. babu before the High Court against the order of the Vigilance Court to register a case against Mr. Babu as quick verification of allegations against the Minister was nowhere near completion within the mandatory 42 days.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday brushed aside the allegation made by Saritha S. Nair before Solar Inquiry Commission that she had paid a bribe of Rs. 1.90 crore to him through his aide Thomas Kuruvila.
