Thiruvananthapuram: Discussions between Joint Action Council of endosulfan victims and Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Friday to settle the agitation by the victims and their mothers before the Secretariat, failed.
Talks will again be held on February 3.
General Convenor of the Council against endosulfan Ambalathara Kunhikrishnan said that the officials had come ill-prepared for the talks. The Council wanted compensation to all victims. However, officials did not even have a proper list. The Chief Minister merely said that all victims would be provided with compensation.
Mr Kunhikrishnan said that the Council would intensify it stir.
The talks were held after Opposition Leader V. S. Achuthanandan intervened on behalf of the victims. He also attended the talks.
The delay in settling of the agitation is causing immense hardships to the victims some of whom are even unable to stand up or sit properly.
