Sounding rockets launched from Thumba

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, October 7, 2015: The VSSC launched a sounding rocket from Thumba here today, at 2:45 pm, as part of the World Space Week Celebrations.

 More than 3000 visitors including a large number of students from all over the State witnessed the launch.  Similar Launches are  scheduled tomorrow (Wednesday) and Friday at 11 am.  Public  can also visit the VSSC space museum as part of the Open House.

ISRO is organising a half day Seminar on space programs and their applications at Women’s College here on Thursday. Education Minister Abdu Rabb will inguurate the seminar.
