Sudheeran begins Yatra

Kasaragod: KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran began his ‘Jana Raksha March’ from Kumbala near here on Monday.Chief Minister Oommen Chandy inaugurating the Jana Raksha Yatra in Kasaragod on Monday.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy inaugurated the march and Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala presided. AICC general secretary Mukul Vasnik was the Chief Guest.

The march, being organised as a prelude to Congress party’s election campaign, will cover all the 140 Assembly constituencies in the State. It will conclude in Thiruvananthapuram on February 9.

It will also to highlight the achievements of UDF government in the State and campaign for environmental protection and abstinence. Collection of contributions for the party’s election campaign will also take place during the march.

The march, which will have 75 permanent members, will be joined by other leaders and supporters along the way.
